Changelog
- 1.9.0 - Help us grow! The app now occasionally asks for a star rating after you've used it a few times - tap once to leave a quick positive review on the App Store or Google Play and make a real difference to a small indie project
- 1.8.5 - Capitalized and Title Case now capitalize accented letters (é, ü, ö, etc.) after spaces, double quotes, opening brackets, and slashes, so inputs like café/élan and "école" française cap correctly
- 1.8.4 - Refined the built-in proper-noun list: removed over-correcting generic entries including who and jar
- 1.8.3 - Fixed Capitalized and Title Case so words separated by a slash (/) are cased correctly on both sides
- 1.8.2 - Refined the built-in proper-noun list: removed eight entries (arm, dam, ice, man, one, pet, raw, us) that were over-correcting common English words into all-caps acronyms
- 1.8.1 - Bug fixes: restored the Programming Cases icon in the home-screen long-press shortcut menu, fixed selection styling on the Em and en dashes row in Remove Formatting, and fixed Fancy Fonts so pasting a styled sample back into the input field re-styles each preview in its own font instead of echoing the pasted one

Which platforms is the app available on?
The Convert Case mobile app is available on both iOS and Android, covering iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets.
How do I install the app?
Visit the Apple App Store on iOS or the Google Play Store on Android. Search for "Convert Case," select our app, and tap Install.
How much does the app cost?
The Convert Case mobile app is free to download and use.
What case conversions does the app support?
The app supports seven conversions: UPPER CASE, lower case, Sentence case, Capitalized Case, Title Case, aLtErNaTiNg cAsE, and InVeRsE CaSe. Title Case, Sentence case, and Capitalized Case automatically recognize 3000+ proper nouns (NASA, iPhone, Paris, Abu Dhabi) and case them correctly.
What programming cases does the app support?
The Programming Cases page converts text to camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE, or dot.case. The tokenizer handles spaces, camel humps, uppercase runs (HTMLParser becomes html_parser), and Unicode letters, so it works on identifiers in any natural language.
Which languages are supported?
The app is available in 14 languages: English (US and UK), German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Greek, Filipino, Hindi, Turkish, and Ukrainian. An in-app language picker lets you choose any of them regardless of your device's system language. Locale-specific rules are applied automatically: German ß uppercases to ẞ, Turkish dotted and dotless I rules are respected, and Title Case uses language-specific small-word lists for French, German, Spanish, and Italian.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All conversions run on-device, so the app works with full functionality whether you are online or offline.
How do I change the app's theme or language?
Open the Settings page inside the app. From there you can pick your language, choose a System, Light, or Dark theme, toggle the background reminder, enable auto-copy so every conversion is sent straight to your clipboard, sync text between tools, remember text between sessions, and fine-tune the built-in proper-noun corrections by adding your own custom terms.
What are Fancy Fonts?
Fancy Fonts is a dedicated page in the app that previews your text in 20 Unicode font styles, including Script, Fraktur, Double-Struck, Circled, Squared, Small Caps, Full Width, and Monospace. Type once and every style updates as you go. Tap any style to copy or share it, and favorite the ones you use most so they float to the top and persist across sessions.
What does the Remove Formatting tool do?
Remove Formatting cleans up pasted or messy text. Multi-select any combination of cleanup options - extra spaces, line breaks, HTML tags, URLs, emojis, em and en dashes, punctuation, numbers, and special characters - and apply them all at once. The em and en dash option turns typographer's dashes into a regular hyphen for tools that don't accept Unicode dashes.
What encodings does the Encoder / Decoder support?
The Encoder / Decoder page supports Base64, URL percent-encoding, ROT13, UTF-8 hex bytes, HTML entities, binary, and Unicode escapes. Pick an encoding, toggle between Encode and Decode, and the result updates as you type.
How do the quick-launch shortcuts work?
Long-press the Convert Case app icon on your home screen to open a shortcut menu that jumps straight into Fancy Fonts, Remove Formatting, Encoder / Decoder, or Programming Cases, skipping the home screen entirely.
Does text sync between the different tools?
Yes. With "Sync text between tools" enabled (default on), text typed or pasted in any tool flows to the others, so you can convert in Home, switch to Programming Cases, then jump to Remove Formatting and see the same text everywhere. A separate "Remember text between sessions" setting (default on) controls whether editor text is saved to disk between app launches - turn it off if you'd rather start fresh each session.
What is the background notification for?
If you switch to another app with text still waiting in Convert Case, a quiet notification reminds you to come back and finish the job. You can turn the reminder off at any time from the Settings page.
Does the app collect or share my data?
No. All conversions are performed locally on your device. Convert Case does not collect, transmit, or store any user data.
