About Convert Case

Convert Case is designed to be a free to use online text manipulator that you can use for efficiency and productivity gains (and in some cases just a bit of fun as well). Whether you have mistakenly written all your text in capital or you want to quickly align the correct capitalization structure for titles. Convert Case allows you to quickly fix any errors as well as produce an array of outcomes from the tools above.

There are also a range of converters to explore as well such as the binary code and morse code translators that will allow you to write up standard text and have it translated into the necessary code.

You can also use the text manipulators to allow your text to stand out. Whether that’s for social media purposes or you want to bring some attention to an advertisement, these tools are a great solution for fixing those issues too.

Our Story

Convert Case started back in 2006 with a single annoying email. Someone sent me a message written entirely in capital letters, and rather than retype the whole thing by hand it seemed quicker to write a small tool to do the job. At the time the real goal was just to learn how websites were put together, so that first converter doubled as a way to practice HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Once it worked, it went up on the internet to see whether anyone else would find it useful.

People did. What began as a fix for one shouty email turned into a steady stream of visitors who needed the same thing, and then visitors who wanted more. Over the years we added title case, sentence case, and lower case, then moved well beyond simple capitalization into counters, generators, encoders, decoders, and code formatters. Today the site hosts well over a hundred text and formatting tools, each built to do one job quickly and without fuss.

More recently Convert Case has grown beyond the browser. We released iOS and Android apps so the tools are close at hand on a phone, along with a browser extension that brings the same conversions to Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

Through all of it Convert Case has stayed independently run by its founder, Jason Gillyon, with the same goal it started with: keep the tools fast, free, and genuinely useful.
